STEP 1
Go to Portal de Trámites Digitales with your ClaveÚnica or by logging in with your account from the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones (SERMIG). Then select Solicitud Prórroga Tarjeta de Tripulante and click on Iniciar.
STEP 2
Read all the information and conditions. If you agree, click on Siguiente.
STEP 3
Select the type of procedure. Then click on Siguiente.
Important: The second exceptional extension is only for situations justified in events of force majeure. Upon request, SERMIG may grant a second extension, only for the time strictly necessary to leave the country. This extension is exempt from fees and must state the reasons for the extension and the supporting documents.
STEP 4
Enter the Applicant Company information:
- Company Name
- RUT
- Address in Chile
- Address
STEP 5
Enter the identification information for the company's representative in Chile, then click Siguiente.
- Name and last name
- Run or passport
- Position held
- Cell phone number
- Email address
STEP 6
You must enter the vehicle information and attach the Crew List or General Declaration before clicking Siguiente.
- International transportation mode
- The vessel's name
- Number of international crew members
- The flag of the transportation mode
STEP 7
Complete the form with all the information corresponding to the crew member.
Remember that the information must be identical to those on the identification document.
- First name
- Father's Last name
- Mother's Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Country of Birth
- Nationality
- Sex
- Type of identity document
- Identity Card Number
- Country issuing the identity document
- Date of entry to the country
- Place of entry to Chile
STEP 8
Enter the deadline for the requested permit and then click Siguiente.
STEP 9
Next, you must upload the requested documents and indicate the reasons that make the extension necessary. Then click Siguiente.
Passport identification sheet containing: number, date of issue and expiration date, as well as the page with the stamp of the last entry to Chile. In case of entering with another identification document, attach an image of such document (identity card, DNI, etc.).
You must include an image of your identity document on both sides in your upload.
Image of the valid and legible Crewmember Card.
STEP 10
Finally, you must confirm and submit the form by clicking on Siguiente. Then select the payment method that suits you best. You will receive the resolution and proof of payment via email.
