Step by Step Guide - Request for Extension of Permanencia Transitoria

STEP 1

Go to Portal de Trámite Digitales

Look for Solicitud Prórroga de Permanencia Transitoria and then click on Iniciar.

You can use your ClaveÚnica or create an account from the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones (SERMIG) to log in.

STEP 2

You must read the Information and Conditions of the procedure. If you agree, click on Siguiente.

STEP 3
You must select the person submitting the application.

STEP 4
Select Prórroga de Permanencia Transitoria. Then click on Siguiente.

STEP 5
The applicant's personal information entered must be identical to that of the identification document.

Any errors will result in the application being rejected. The email address must be one that you use regularly, since you will be notified by email. Once you have entered all the information, click on Siguiente.

STEP 6
You will see the following message. Therefore, you must confirm if the information is correct and click on Siguiente.

STEP 7
Attach all the required documents, which must legible and valid:

⦁    Permanencia Transitoria Card.

⦁    Documents that certify economic support for the period of the extension.

⦁    Other supporting documents. 

⦁    Indicate the reasons that make the extension necessary.

Then click on Siguiente.

STEP 8

Submit the application form by clicking on Siguiente and then clicking on the confirmation.

STEP 9 

By clicking on Finalizar, you will be redirected to the payment process.

STEP 10

You must select the online payment method and proceed with the corresponding payment procedure based on your choice.

STEP 11

Once the payment has been made, you will receive a notification of the Permanencia Transitoria Extension Request through your e-mail.
